A trip to France to honour the dead from World War 2.

Auntie Wainwright tries to talk her way out of a speeding ticket. Barry is in trouble with Glenda because Marina kissed him again.

Howard sends away for a wig but has Normans name on the address. Howard then refuses to take the horrid hairpiece when Pearl sees the name on the box.

The villagers meet a spiritualist nut-case and her fed-up husband. Howard buys transceivers. Glenda forces Barry and Wesley to spend time together. Auntie Wainwright tries to splurge.

Nora Batty finally decides to give Compo a taste of what he's been asking for and it sends him to the hospital. Clegg, Nora, and friends need to deal with the loss of their friend.

Clegg gets a letter telling him Compo's arrangements for his ferrets and the Gang soon learns what Compo did with his Thursdays when he claimed to be 'exercising' his ferrets. And they learn just how devoted he was to Nora Batty.

The village prepares for Compo's funeral; even Auntie Wainwright closes her shop (her mobile phone is on for emergency purchases). Compo's "Thursday Lady" arrives to pay her respects.

A letter arrives for Compo, and Nora takes it to Clegg. The letter is from Compo's long lost son. Clegg has to tell him his father is dead.

Tom goes to Wesley with vehicle problems, Glenda wants an antique as a centerpiece for her decor. Tom is advertising Mrs, Avery as a famous psychic.

Barry's golf day is constantly interrupted. Howard promises to take Marina to lunch in public.

Howard wants to be taller. Glenda puts Barry in a white suit for a picnic. Tom is attempting to make Mrs. Avery's niece, Babs, more physically fit.
