Des starts off a new series with Michael Caine, an actor he claims he's wanted to get on the show for 15 years. Michael talks about his wife and acting career, while included among the other guests are Catherine Zeta-Jones and Jack Dee.

Des gets to chat with Mr. Bean himself, AKA Rowan Atkinson. Also featuring are Jim Dale, Luciano Pavarotti, Gloria Estefan and Curtis Stigers.

Des is in Hollywood to chat to guests including Elton John, George Burns and Jackie Collins.

Julie Andrews talks about exploding the myth of her reputation, including topless scenes and her incessant swearing. Also on the show are Shirley Bassey, Jane Horrocks and Bradley Walsh, plus Joe Pasquale and his "Buckets of Doom".

Des's guests include Frank Skinner, Mike Reid, Joe Cocker and Jason Donovan.

Des hosts the show from Hollywood, where he gets to resume his strained working relationship with Whitney Houston. Although the behind-the-scenes drama gives Des a stressful time once more, the resolution is a happier one.

Des catches up with Neil Diamond, who has played over 100 concerts since his last appearance on the show. As well as discussing Neil's writing process, there's also guests Ian McShane, Lisa Stansfield, Tony Hawks and Jethro.

Des's traditional festive show features Frank Bruno, Sharon Gless, Brian Conley, Michael Bolton and the Simmons Brothers.

Des O'Connor Tonight gets its biggest-ever ITV audience with this edition, as Andrew Lloyd Webber and Reva Rice present a song from the revamped Starlight Express. Also appearing are Cindy Crawford, Neil Sedaka and Freddie Starr.
