Hans buys a second hand sailboat. Lydie and Mien feel sorry for Gert-Jan because Pien has left him but Hans and Koos think there is little to be sorry about.

Lydie and Mien are concerned because Gert Jan has been seeing a lot of different women since he's been on the rebound. Hans insists on buying a motor to go with their new sailboat.

Koos has bought a (leaking) aquarium from Jopie. Lydie and Hans spend their first night on their sailboat but keep being interrupted by visitors.

Pim is coming to stay during the weekend. Mien wants him to see the new aquarium. Hans & Lydie have both bought him a tiny life vest to wear on their boat. And Gert Jan asks Koos to pick up Pim at the train station.

Mien's father is coming to visit and have a thorough check-up at Dr. Lydie's insistence. But when he's put on a train by his other daughter Annie one day earlier than planned, he fails to arrive in Amsterdam.

Arie Kalkman, Mien's dad, spends a day in the hospital being examined by Dr. Lansberg. But he objects to being given special treatment and suspects the doctors aren't telling him the entire truth.

Koos is feeling better then ever because of his cycling hobby. That is, until he gets lower backer pain. Arie Kalkman makes sure Koos swallows all his medicine, with unexpected results...

After witnessing firemen in action at Jopie's auto repair, Koos considers joining the reserve fire fighters. Teuntje is upset because Gert Jan is spending too much time on the phone (arguing) with Pien. Hans & Lydie's blind friend Frits visits unexpectedly.

Arie Kalkman thinks the doctors are keeping something from him, so Hans invites him back tot he hospital for another talk. Lydie needs a dress for the Red Cross gala.

Hans persuades Lydie to ask Gert Jan to join her doctor's practice. Mien and Koos are suffering from head lice.

Gert Jan bumps into Map at a café. Jopie, with insurance money in hand, wants to start a new business together with Koos. Lydie has a little clothing mishap at the gas station on her way to a chic party.

Jopie & Koos are brainstorming about what kind of business they will go into. Lydie and Miep suggest that Gert Jan may join in with them. But when they see Map being photographed as a model they hit on it: video recording.

Hans bumps into Gert Jan's former flame Esther van Dam while ice skating and she forgets her scarf. Gert Jan refuses to bring it back and when Lydie finds Esther's phone number, she gets jealous nightmares.

Esther drops by the hospital to pick up her scarf from Hans, flirts with him and fails to take the item of clothing with her once more. Meanwhile, Map makes Gert Jan question his love for Teuntje for a moment.

Lydie finally goes round to Esther's to return the shawl and is hit upon by Esther's boyfriend Casper. Meanwhile at home a Dutch celebrity with a sore throat awaits her. Mien insists Koos gets a new suit for KoJo Video.

Koos & Jopie go to a fancy lawyer to set up their new business. Teuntje's friend Claire needs a place to stay after leaving her boyfriend Ron, who promptly shows up on Lydie's doorstep.

Mien has chickenpox, so her sister Annie is asked to fill in and do Dr. Lydie's household for a few weeks. Gert Jan declines Koos & Jopie's offer to join them in their video business.

Lydie is unhappy that Gert Jan accepted a job in a medical lab and once more offers him to take over part of her practice. Jopie and Annie are attracted to each other.

Pa Kalkman visits unexpectedly, falls asleep on the doctor's couch and accidentally lights it on fire with his cigar. Mien tells Annie not to let Jopie boss her around.

There is a reception to celebrate the working relationship between mother and son Van der Ploeg. Gert Jan worries because Pien has been invited and Hans joins him when Esther's name turns up on the guest list as well.

Lydie and Mien want to give money to a good cause that feeds people in the third world. Hans invites a colleague from Gambia over for dinner and receives a good luck charm in return.
