Lydie is feeling ill and both Gert-Jan and Hans think it may be a bit more serious than a common cold. Koos attempts to bake an 'original' Italian pizza but ends up calling in a favour from a shady friend to serve a meal to Mien and the Van der Ploeg household.

Koos has spotted Hans with another woman and is certain he's cheating on Lydie. When Hans hurts himself playing tennis, Mien and Koos grab the opportunity to snoop around in Hans's flat. There they find the fur coat his lady friend was wearing the other night.

Hans offers Gert Jan is flat for a week while he is nursing his broken arm at Lydie's. Gert Jan quickly turns the flat into a rental which causes confusion when Mien comes round to clean up.

Nancy takes home a 14 year old punk girl called Ankie and wants to straighten her out physiologically. But Ankie's (ex) boyfriend soon causes trouble for the entire household.

Ankie has been staying in Nancy's room for a week and Mien is thoroughly annoyed by her. Lydie also agrees she cannot claim that Ankie is too sick to go to school forever. Then two policemen call at the front door...

Gert Jan wins a 1000 guilders with a photograph he took of Ankie and is offered a job as a wedding photographer. He wants to buy a car to go with this job and comes home with a hearse.

The Dobbelsteen's are nervous because of a visit to the tax-man. Nancy is even more nervous because of her English exam. Gert Jan gets to know Nancy's friend Nel a lot better.

Nancy is leaving for Kenia to work in the Development Aid. But first she has to be distracted so she doesn't notice her family is planning a surprise party. Koos and Mien may have to miss the party when their fishing trip goes awry.
