Koos is down and ashamed because he lost his job. Mien decides that she will start paying taxes on her work instead of him. Pien disappears after an argument with Gert Jan about her looks.

Lydie is looking for a larger house. Mien suggests buying the one next door and breaking away some of the connecting walls. Gert Jan becomes exited about renting out the ground floor of the second house and starting a fitness center.

Gert Jan & Pien check a fitness and body building center to see how much it would cost to set one up of their own. This leaves Gert Jan aching all over during the night. Both Lydie and Hans have forgotten the date on which they are to sign for their impending wedding.

Mien objects to Koos hiring a co-worker now that he's working for himself. Hans talks Gert Jan in to joining him ice-skating.

Dr. Lydie is having a terrible day. Koos is refurbishing her waiting room and all the patients are relocated to the dining room. When she's out visiting patients, she gets a flat tire and to top it all, Hans has invited a Spanish colleague over for diner.

Koos needs a tuxedo for a dance night. Dr. Lydie proposes to lend him Dr. Lansberg's tux. Meanwhile Lydie is getting all dressed up for several mysterious rendezvous with another man.

Lydie is disappointed that Nancy can't come to the wedding, but Hans has something up his sleeve. Mien insists that Lydie buys something new to wear during the ceremony and that they go out shopping together.

It's Lydie and Hans's wedding day. Although they only want a small ceremony followed by a honeymoon in Kenya (to visit Lydie's daughter Nancy) they still end up with two cakes and a big surprise from Gert Jan and Pien.
