Bamse and Ælling celebrate each others birthday and also Gullegøg's. And they read in the Wishing Book about Bamse's first birthday.

Viggo wants to build a shower so he and Bamse goes hunting for stuff in the container. Bamse finds a pink feather boa that is full of fleas. Fortunately, he and Kylling can wash off the fleas in Viggo's new shower. After the bath Viggo makes food, but Bamse and Kylling would rather play kangaroos.

Kylling digs in it's garden and Bamse finds an earthworm which Kylling eats. Bamse thinks it's disgusting, but Kylling thinks it's disgusting that Bamse has a cold. The two friends begin to dig for treasure, but get into an argument when they actually find one.

Ælling visits Bamse and disturbs him in the middle of building a 'masterpiece'.
