Bamse pretends to be Doktor Dyregod and Kylling his helper Knud. The are going to embark on an expedition to help other animals. The expedition takes a new direction when they encounter Ælling.

Bamse has an unlucky day. He falls over everything and hurts himself. Kyllings tries to cheer him up. Ælling visits and Bamse wants to teach it to clap but Ælling just wants to suck on Bamse's ear. Then Ælling learns how to say a word.

Bamse makes a gold medal and wants to win something. So he and Kylling looks for a round hole so they can shoot a ball through it. They must either use Kylling's round nest or Ælling's round lifesaver. They grab the lifesaver but then suddenly Kylling's nest is gone!

Bamse can't sleep. The flies are buzzing everywhere. He tries to sleep in the sling, in the wagon. and eventually he and Kylling take a ride on a tandem. They both fall asleep on it and end up in a giant haystack.
