Bamse wants to try his doctor play-kit on Kylling. But Kylling doesn't want to, and then Kylling's flowers look a bit sick.

Bamse thinks his house is messy, and he goes out into the world to find a new place to live. He finds the right spot, high up in a tree. Kylling brings some food. Satisfied and happy Bamse persuades Kylling to stay and sleep.

Bamse and Kylling have slept high up in a tree, and now they want down and eat breakfast. Kylling climbs down the ladder fine, but who can help Bamse? Aske builds an elevator chair and Kylling a duvet mountain.

There is a summer party in the forest. Viola's dress cracks because she has eaten too much. Aske accidentally says Bamse is too fat. Upset Bamse starts on a quick birdseed diet, and he manages to get his pink skirt on without it cracking.
