Maca goes to Esther's to tell her about her feelings and ask if they can be together again. When she arrives she tries to kiss Esther, but Esther is with her new partner Bea so refuses her. Just then they both receive the news that Héctor has been stabbed. Fernando and Waldo saved him, but he needs a heart transplant to survive. When Teresa sees Maca and Esther arrive at the hospital together, she asks Esther if they are back together. Vero spends her last days at the hospital dealing with the victim of a rapist who was freed from prison, while Carlos is obsessed with...

Héctor has awakened after his heart transplant, performed by Jacobo, and asks Alicia what happened because he doesn't remember. Later he wants to meet one of his donor's relatives and Teresa phones an actress friend to pretend to be the supposed donor's aunt. Gimeno must operate on his ex-wife and he saves her life in a complicated operation with Rai, who will mentor the new resident, a young doctor named Jose'. Claudia and Carlos celebrate that she is pregnant, and Maca later finds out that they are expecting twins. Maca asks Esther not to be so cold with her, while ...

Maca gives Esther an anonymous gift and tries to court her again, but she prefers to take things slowly. Héctor has rushed back with too much work to do; when he kisses Alicia, something seems to be between them. Sofía is disqualified for working as a doctor after having disconnecting her patient from life-support despite Fernando and Javier's defense. Maca and Esther have a meeting and the pediatrician doesn't know how to surprise the nurse; finally they go to a resort and, after a problem there, they end up in the hospital but recapture their relationship. Héctor doesn't want to continue as Urgencias boss so Javier is forced to find a substitute. On Sofías's last day at hospital, her best friend arrives with appendicitis and she can't tell her that she has been disqualified as a doctor. Later, she decides to go spend time with her family and Raúl, who doesn't understand her attitude, splits with Sofía. Waldo watches Esther and Maca kissing at hospital and, although he keeps the secret (because Esther prefers not to tell their partners about the reconciliation), Alicia and Teresa suspect, and finally everybody knows. New doctor Raquel arrives at the hospital; she's a woman with character who's also Javier's childhood friend. Waldo tells Alicia that he feels jealous about her relationship with Héctor; when he kisses her, she keeps the kiss going. A theater group that was to act for the children in the hospital postpones the performance, so Gimeno and Esther prepare an alternate spectacle with help from some of their colleagues, including Maca. Esther and Maca are living between their respective homes and the situation is uncomfortable, so the pediatrician decides to solve the problem with a surprise that the nurse will not like. Gimeno and Raquel decide to use an operating room that had been closed. Boni tries to help Pascual, a friend he met in prison who has serious problems. Teresa meets again her first boyfriend Enrique. Jose' has decided to leave the hospital and Rai tries to change her mind.

Alicia's father suffers a beating after defending a woman who was being attacked; a friend accompanies him to the hospital: his partner. Boni's friend Pascual, trying to get his hands on some money, steals several objects from the SAMUR's rooms. Raúl discovers him, but he manages to escape. Maca goes to a jeweler's shop to buy a diamond for Esther and reconcile with her, but she is involved in a robbery that ends well thanks to Gimeno's intervention. Bea remains obsessed with Esther and appears in the new house that she shares with Maca. Later, Pedrito disappears and Maca feels very nervous when Bea appears with him, so she hits and injures Bea. Leyre treats Jacobo coldly after discovering his infidelity and tells Fernando what happened; he almost kisses her but avoids it, not wanting to take advantage of her weak moment. The SAMUR attends the injured people of a school shooting. In another incident later, Valeria is injured and sustains blindness. Raúl supports her all the time, but this does not change her opinion about him and Boni, who could lose their jobs if she so decides.
