There's a wedding to prepare for but a court case proves more difficult and dangerous, as things turn nasty for more people and then the police are targeted, but this involves one officer who finds they can only turn to family for help.

Whilst most at Mount Thomas are still unaware of the danger to one of their own, a send off is planned for Maggie, but where is her father?

After the events of the night before, the Mount Thomas police force is sent reeling with the aftermath. Information starts leaking about what had actually been going on and investigation begins, but there are suspicions.

The investigation continues and for P.J. things go from bad to worse. Which theory is correct and does Natalie really know anything or is her illness just seeing things that aren't really there?

As Mount Thomas settles back into its routine, Jack's great grandfather, Maurie, turns up. With a spate of burglaries and thefts going on, Maurie and another grandfather, Chook Fowler, become the main suspects.

Two bikers are pulled over but this is just the start of all the problems. Looking for someone, they find him and though their rules prevent them from crossing Tom, for now. But how long can the police hold off the gang of bikers?

A life class for Tom, has him remove a young girl from there. Though she proves to be old enough, just barely; things get worse when there's a pregnancy and all the suspects deny it and the girl refuses to say who is the father.

A magician's act has a member of the audience participate in a disappearing act. But he never reappears. When he still hasn't turned up the next day, the hunt for him begins and secrets will be revealed.

As P.J. gets information into his personal investigation, this leads him to Keith and leads others to a complaint about noisy neighbours, a rock band and drugs and back to Keith, and that's just the beginning.

There's a case of livestock and a car crash, but its P.J. and his investigation into Maggie that reaches its final explosive conclusion and the suspects are coming thick and fast.

There appears to be case of a stalker for one dance instructor and there are plenty of suspects. The main suspect does himself no favours and this case keeps dragging in the police as more incidents occur.

When a former local returns after years, having done well for himself as a successful businessman, trouble soon follows him and his family.

There is a town competition and someone is making a mess in Mount Thomas. Meanwhile, homeless kids taking over a house, brings them in conflict with the owner.

There's a fishing competition and a $10,000 gold bar at stake. As the fish is caught, there is an immediate protest. No one seems to the like one money-hungry contestant, but this is just the start of the problems.

An elderly patient of doctor Bourke's passes away and leaves most of her estate to him, the family raise a complaint. Other people are not happy with the doctor and tongues start to wag, and there's already been a break-in at the surgery.

A spate of car accidents that gets progressively worse has the police attempting to stop this before it kills someone. Jo is being too trusting with the public and Ben is taking the Sergeant's exam.

An old lady goes missing, so does a baby and there is a missing dog but finding them all is not as simple as that, far from it. Tess also joins the Mount Thomas police force.

A missing racing greyhound leads the police into looking into the world of dog racing. Tess is making her mark at the station with ideas and changes that seems to rub her colleagues up the wrong way.

A wood cutting competition is sabotaged. This brings the logging company and protesting environmentalists under scrutiny. More sabotage and plenty of suspects means the police need to solve this before someone really gets hurt.

When a man complains about money that has gone missing from his bank account, it leads to residents superstitions, fears and a witch.

The Heelers have an unwanted P.I working with them to find a missing backpacker, who has disappeared in a similar fashion to another backpacker.

A bag of potatoes leads to a family of kids that are in short supply and Tess has sympathies for their situation. Tom is selling raffle tickets to anyone and everyone.

A school dance seems to go off without any real problems, but tragedy looms straight after. With alcohol involved, the police have to found out the truth of what really happened.

Tess doesn't think Jo is up to the job and decides to let her take lead on a case to see how she goes. The case involves a missing $350 cuckoo clock. There's also a truckload of missing computer parts that needs solving.

A suspect is caught fleeing the scene of a crime and keeps going to hospital. This strains police resources as they have to guard him there. Meanwhile, the station's fax machine has packed up.

Ben has trouble sleeping after a particularly bad accident he had to attend, of a young man. Jack is pushed to do something by a friend over damage of a gravestone of a loved one.

There's a bank robbery and three witnesses give different profiles. Why are people lying and is it an inside job?

A woman's family is torn apart when a car and the last of their savings is stolen. When the culprit is found, he is just as angry as the victim for different reasons. Each time they meet, the anger boils over.

Tess in charge and cancels the 'Running of the Rams' event as it would be illegal. This inflexibility makes many locals seethe with anger, though Compo Hayes has ulterior motives for his anger over this event's cancellation.

A simple incident in a playground has Ben getting involved in a case of domestic violence. But it's not all as it seems and matters will take a turn for the worse once Tony Timms sticks his nose in.

The police are trialling bicycles as a means of getting about and run into theft of mail case. Scotty Forster is back and he is under the assumption he and Letty will get married; Jack does not know what to think.

A full blown riot in St Davids means that some prisoners have to be stationed at Mount Thomas and it's not going to be easy with lots of problems. To make matters worse, Tom has already gone fishing, so Tess is in charge.

There appears to be a drug problem in the local area and Detective Sergeant Bernie O'Halloran is pushing everyone's buttons with his theories, particularly around Jack and his involvement in the matter.

The suspicion is still on Jack by D.S. Bernie O'Halloran and Jo is determined to prove the D.S. wrong by investigating the drug problem herself.

Whilst Jack is in hospital, not happy with the situation he is in, he has to deal with a number of people and thefts that are occurring there.

When Clancy wants the job of the local crossing guard at a school, the police make sure he is up to the job. But not everyone in the council is so sure he can do it.

A theft from a business has several suspects.

A boy complains a teacher has hit them, but accusations fly around that someone else has committed assaults and others have not. There are also more incidents at the school and further afield. Who really is the bully?

Rodeo rider Shane Denovan rides into town with his sick horse Lulubelle, so Jo helps him. Sadly, the local vet believes Lulubelle should be put down so Jack lets Shane ride his horse, Matilda, and makes an awkward decision about her.

A concerned citizen brings in a phone message he received by mistake from what appears to be two criminals planning an armed robbery. Can the police find them before the crime is committed?

Jack makes new friends who are in the same position he is in, but orders have come down that as he cannot perform frontline duties as before, so he is to be reassigned.
