Paul decides he wants a quieter Christmas Special this year, so presents the show with Debbie at "home". Yet in among the tricks and spirit painting, there's also a circus, a wizard musical, and a dream sequence with Paul as a child.

A series with a brand new look and a brand new name: after over thirteen years of being titled simply "Paul Daniels", the show gets permanently retitled onscreen to the name it's more commonly referred to: The Paul Daniels Magic Show.

Featuring guests Red Ryder from Texas and Morocco's Hassani Troupe, plus the card trickery of Darwin Ortiz and a special Wild West themed piece of magic from Paul.

This edition showcases a variety of guests from all over the world, with Britain's magician Michael Vincent, America's card trickster Darwin Ortiz, and, from Japan, the wheel spinning feats of Koma Zuru.

An array of guests sees a brand new trapeze act get introduced to the show, along with hula hoop expert Marie Perry, and the return of card trickster René Lavand.

Paul confesses to having claustrophobia, something which guest Lady Quadro wouldn't help with. Completing a pair of guests who put themselves through an uncomfortable time is Rodolfo Reyes and his bizarre acrobatics.

The latest quiz on TV is the "Daniels Disc Game", while guests are Moroccan acrobats Les Liazeed and, from France, the tricks of Philippe Socrate.

Featuring three guests who were so successful on their previous appearances that they were all asked back onto the show: Michael Vincent, Darwin Ortiz and Koma Zuru.

There's acrobatics from Vis Versa, card magic from Lennart Green, and, from Paul, a ghost story with a twist.

Paul, his son Martin, and assistant Debbie McGee all get in a car for one of the most stressful tricks of the series - driving through a solid wall.
