Six year old Benjy would rather commune with his animal friends than any humans. This creates concern with his parents. While on one of his adventures Benjy is swept down a river.

Benjy is a young boy who prefers being around animals then people. His family is concerned, more so when he befriends a dangerous badger. When it disappears Benjy goes in search and is swept down river into the wilderness.

A mother bobcat and her two cubs share a cave with guitarist Paco who is also an expert woodcarver. Paco is hired to give tours by by Joe of Colossal Cave. Mom feline struggles to provide her youngsters with food while evading hunters.

A spoiled city youngster learns the hard way that there may be some truth to the legend of a mysterious man roaming the backwaters of Virginia.

Young Joey ventures deep into the mysterious backwaters and discovering a secret which threatens his life.

A young moose survives two hazardous years on Washington state's Olympic Peninsula. Grizzlies, enroachment of civilization, and snowfall creating difficulty in foraging are among the problems threatening the moose.

A teenage owner of a Brahma bull Twister hopes for great things at the Pendleton, Oregon rodeo. But on the plane trip there they crash leading the lad and his pet bovine in a struggle to survive in the wilderness.

Three youngsters visit a travelling carnival where they overhear plans to rob a bank. When no adults believe them, they must foil the crooks themselves.

A young man looks forward to a carefree Florida summer but finds an injured pelican. Reluctantly he begins to nurse the bird back to health but then does it with passion learning about himself and life in general.

Russ Hanson has a pet wolf that the townspeople are a bit unsure of. When the wolf gets into a fight with an attacking dog the intention is to destroy the animal. Russ takes his pet and flees into the wilderness.

Russ, knowing he can't return his pet wolf to civilization, tries to teach the domesticated animal to be wild again.
