C.C. is confined to bed because of influenza. Gina cancels his party and does his best to prove to be nice with him. But C.C., in spite of its tiredness, is only it pushing back. Santana and Brick send for Cruz in the Purgatory, a club where they decided to spend the evening of the Christmas Eve dinner. Eden learns that Victoria is in the hospital. She is going to see her and tries her to know what really arrived at her. Julia visits Mason to his office and announces him that his medical results are positive : she suffers from no form of sterility. She goes back later...

Ted has his first day in the Abernathy stables as a simple groom. He meets Jake, who has worked there for four years. Mason discovers that Julia waited for him on the 1st January in his office. He organises a candlelit dinner and sends for her under a false pretence to ensure her presence. He proves to be ambitious and makes love with Julia on a sofa. Gus gets a job as a waiter in the Orient Express. But after his day ends, he learns from Eden that he was hired for the day and in spite of his great work there, he is not engaged. Hayley and Ted have a picnic in the middle of the night in the atrium of the Capwell villa. Gus is arrested and driven to the police station. Caroline and Lionel arrive to look after Alice, who proclaims her father's innocence. Lionel asks Caroline to be a little distant with Alice. Mason and Cruz ask Eden to listen to a voice recording, it is Gus's voice. Eden remains definite: she recognises Gus's voice as being that of her attacker. Jeffrey looks through Mason's photos in the photo albums of Capwells. C.C. thinks he is locked up in his office. While C.C. looks at him distrustfully, Sophia offers him to become their new driver. In the Abernathy stables, Jake sends Ted on a mission outside the city while he knows that he planned to spend the evening with Hayley. On his return, Ted finds Jake teaching Hayley to play polo. In court, Gus accuses Caroline and Lionel of being delighted with his imprisonment to have control over Alice. Caroline proclaims to Lionel that she would never like to see Gus again. Alice hears her and loses her temper against her. Victoria prepares food in her old flat. Mason joins her with a videocassette recorder and old films. Lionel introduces Caroline to Warren. Mason falls asleep on Victoria's sofa. Pearl arrives to visit her and is surprised to find Mason. Eden announces to Julia of her will to return back to the evidence against Gus. Julia enters Mason's office and thinks he is sleeping on the sofa. Mason wakes up and accuses her of wanting to steal his file on Gus Jackson. Julia is touched by his reaction. Gina finds Keith in the presidential suite of the Capwell Hotel. He tells her that his plan is in motion and that he is going to get the control of the Capwell Enterprises. Gina finds a cat in the atrium of the Capwell villa and follows him up to the cellar. She discovers that Keith took up residence in it and that he is tapping the phone line of the Capwells. Jane visits Gus in prison and asks him to speak to her about his relationship with her mother. Gus maintains to her that Caroline knew that Alice was committed in an asylum and that she did nothing. Eden and Cruz find the trace of an abandoned car driven by their attacker after shooting exchanges at Johnny's. They find evidence inside of blood and a similar black balaclava that was worn by the thief at the Orient Express. Thanks to the information given by his informer, Cruz, accompanied with Eden, goes to the district where the thief would have been seen. Both of them search a waste disposal truck, hoping to find evidence. Eden finds a bag of chemist's supplies with blood. Gus's trial begins. Eden is called to the bar. The thief hides in the wardrobe and Julia, joined by Alice in the flat, do not see him. Mason prevents Pearl from reminding Kelly on the telephone from the Capwell villa. The robber ties Eden and Cruz up on a chair and gags them. He takes Alice with him and escapes. Ted drives Hayley up to the Capwell yacht for a romantic date. Everything is going well until Hayley realises that she did not take means of contraception. Cruz manages to free himself from his ties and frees Eden. Before leaving the flat, Eden and Cruz phone Lionel to inform him of Alice's kidnapping. They realise that the robber joined the Lockridge residence and takes Lionel, Caroline and Alice as hostages. Jane and Warren, who have taken refuge in the Capwell villa, are worried for their parents. On the telephone, Cruz explains to the robber that he cannot send him a helicopter because of the fog. In Zurich, Kelly explains to her lodger that she does not think she is in love with Pearl. At the same time, with their car parked in front of the home, both men sent by C.C. prepare the abduction. Ted reveals to Hayley the plan of the fake abduction of Kelly where his family were hoping to deceive Gina. Cruz has Zach, the robber, on the telephone. C.C. understands that Kelly had no possibility of reading the letter written by Pearl. From the cellar, Keith hears all the discussion. Ted gets angry with Jake, and asks him to give up thinking that he differs from him because of their social origin. Learning that Interpol is in pursuit of Kelly in Switzerland, Eden and Pearl decide to leave to assist. But Eden does not want to talk about it with Cruz when she discovers that he has made enquiries to join the police. Eden, Cruz and Pearl arrive at Zurich and find Kelly's lodger. They investigate the city, but do not find any trace of Kelly and Jeffrey. In a church, they discover Jeffrey's wallet thrown on the floor. Gina rejoices by announcing to Sophia and C.C. that Keith took back his prosecutor's post at Mason's expense. Early in the morning, Mason is already drunk at Johnny's to compensate for the loss of his job. Victoria arrives to find him and drives him home. Mason falls asleep on her sofa. Brick offers Gus a job as a cook. Ted is jealous to discover that Hayley spent two hours with Jake at the stables while he had a free day like her. Sophia and C.C. take a plan up against Gina: they send C.C.'s banker to show her how to manage the Capwell bank accounts and how to practice transfers by a computer. Gina, with Keith's help, finds C.C.'s password to get into his account: "Sophia". She transfers money into her broke personal account. Lionel offers Caroline to come to live with him in the Lockridge residence. Caroline does not prove to be very passionate. Lionel insists that Warren understands that it was Augusta who left him and that he has the right to live life again. Victoria goes to the Capwells and asks C.C. not to give Mason a hard time anymore. C.C. learns that Victoria decided to stay for one year without working. Eden and Cruz make love overnight on board of the Orient Express. Victoria discovers that someone burgled her house. While she has dinner with Mason, she realises that she is only missing the bill of her recent hospitalisation. The private detective hired by C.C. tells him that Victoria is pregnant. Kelly and Jeffrey manage to escape from the truck. Arriving in Santa Barbara, they run to hide in the museum. Kelly is taken by an artist, but she is finally recognised. C.C. tells Sophia that Victoria is pregnant. Immediately, Sophia thinks that Cruz could be the father. C.C. questions Ted about what he saw when he found Victoria and Cruz in the light house. Ted is obliged to admit that they had intimate relations. C.C. informs Mason that he knows everything about Victoria's baby. Stunned Mason asks him to leave her in peace. He tells Tori that it was his father who had her flat searched, and that he knows that she is pregnant. Ted surprises Hayley and Jake having a good time in Abernathy stables. Eden, Cruz and Pearl are back in Santa Barbara. Cruz discovers, alarmed, that Keith became the new prosecutor again. Sophia and C.C. announce to Eden the plan to find Kelly during the charity ball in the museum. Julia entrusts Pearl that Mason is the man with whom she tried to have a baby with. Victoria is afraid to put herself into a relationship with Mason, but he shows her that he is ready to make the step. Cruz offers to Eden to move back into the beach house with him. She accepts and becomes established with him there.

Mason reassures Victoria on the fact that he feels capable of bringing up a child that is not his. Both kiss each other for the first time. Sophia and C.C. see an announcement in the newspaper that Kelly knows that they are waiting for her during the fancy-dress ball which will be held in the museum. They want to get the list of the guests to find out what fancy dresses each is wearing, so to spot Kelly in the crowd by elimination. Hayley and Jake's car has a breakdown. Ted is jealous to see Hayley coming back late without having told him. Kelly and Jeffrey, both disguised as men in samurai outfits, leave a mess in the museum. Jeffrey manages to get out of the building, while Kelly runs to take refuge in the room where she had remained hidden with Jeffrey. The policemen try to find them and Kelly hides in magician's box. Jake wakes up in the steering wheel of his car and helps Hayley, hurt in the forehead, to get up to the Purgatory. Ted joins them there and walks Hayley back home to the Capwell residence. He goes back to the Purgatory and accuses Jake of having been careless. He hits him to the face and Jake answers him. Kelly insists on going to the Capwell villa, by entering the tunnel which is in gazebo on the property. Jeffrey, reserved, follows her. Victoria still hesitates to accept Mason's proposal. At Johnny's, she discovers that Brick is not Johnny's biological father, but notes that it does not prevent him from loving him as his own son. In Abernathy stables, Kelly asks to see all her family united. Cruz thinks about a plan. Keith finds an abandoned run-down canoe that he manages to get to the bank from the oil rig. In the hospital, C.C. has heart failure. The doctor tries to revive him, in vain. He announces to the Capwells that C.C. died. Sophia asks for his body to be transported up to the Capwell residence for a last respect. In the ambulance, Sophia and C.C. rejoice. Hayley takes new clothes to Kelly in Abernathy stables. The ambulance leaves C.C., locked up in a coffin, in the Capwell villa, and then goes to Abernathy stables to search for Kelly and Jeffrey. Cruz hides them in the cellar in the Capwell residence. Eden and Cruz arrive in the cellar and scare off Kelly and Jeffrey. Keith arrives with two policemen. Cruz overturns racks on them with wine to slow their chase down. To take revenge, Keith arrests Cruz for hindering the police. Eden visits him in the parlour of the prison. Kelly and Jeffrey run away through the Lockridge property. Julia passes as a maintenance worker in a prestigious law firm and gets the job. Lionel goes to the ski station where Caroline, Gus and Alice are. He finds Alice alone in a restaurant. She tells him that Caroline always knew that she was committed in an asylum and that she did nothing about it. Lionel joins Caroline in the chalet and asks her for an explanation. Hayley discovers that Jake is interested in a horse that he would like to have, but it is too expensive for him. Ted thinks that it is Hayley who is interested in the animal and he buys it for her. Jane and Warren encourage their respective parents to get back together. Mason gives Victoria a wedding dress. He organises a ceremony in Santa Barbara, knowing that they will not be able to leave for Mexico because of Kelly. But in front of the priest, Victoria is frightened and Mason stops the ceremony. Kelly and Jeffrey are seen kissing each other by one of the scientists from the university. He recognises them and phones security. A security guard spots Eden and Cruz, who thinks that they do not know them. Suddenly, a call informs them that Kelly and Jeffrey were seen in the experimentation rooms. Eden and Cruz find them, and take their place in both of the glass swimming pools. At his arrival, Keith thinks he has found Kelly and Jeffrey, but Cruz is with Eden. Hayley explains to Ted that the horse he bought for her was intended in reality for Jake. Mr. Abernathy announces to Ted that he gives him a promotion within his stables. Jake reacts very badly. Mason receives the reservation of a chapel in Carmel for the next day day. Victoria gets ready to bring forward the date of their marriage. It is Amy's birthday. Brick, depressed, goes to her grave. He is taken by Hayley and throws him out of the bar. Victoria and Mason get married in Carmel's chapel, with Sophia and C.C. as witnesses and the only invited. On their return, Sophia and C.C. note that Gina has started her transfers of money again from C.C.'s bank account. Jeffrey is hurt in the chest. He is driven to the hospital, while Kelly is thrown in prison. The judge refuses any release with bail. Victoria passes her medical examinations at the hospital: she will not be able to have sexual relations during her wedding night. On the beach, Hayley is caught by the man with the face concealed with a stocking. He immobilises Hayley, hits her to the face and, threatening her with a knife, he places a bag over her head. At Johnny's, Julia sees Brick coming back half drunk and hurt to the face. Whilst going back home, she finds Hayley on the sand. Hayley tells her that she was raped. Julia drives her to the hospital, while Hayley pleads her not to tell Ted. Keith buys dozens of presents for Brandon to persuade him to give up the place where Gina hid the tape. He swallows some helium even to sound like Gina, hoping to make him speak. But Brandon says nothing. Eden and Cruz go to the Capwell residence to see Hayley. She refuses to speak to them at first, repeating that she does not want to see the police. Caroline arranges to meet an old boyfriend. They see Lionel, which makes Caroline feel ill at ease. She goes to the Lockridge residence and swears to him that she does not want to lose him. Driven to the hospital, Gina pretends to be in an unconscious state after her suspected poisoning. Keith arrives at her side and makes a big declaration of love. The doctor shows the results of his examinations to C.C.: it is proven that she drank only water. Gina manages to escape from the hospital and goes to the Capwell residence to see Hayley. Jane and Warren encourage Lionel to excuse Caroline's lies. But since Lionel refuses, Jane packs her suitcases and leaves the Lockridge residence. Lionel phones Augusta and speaks to her about Caroline. Victoria becomes established in Mason's flat and re-decorates his living room, which is not his taste. Cruz takes back his post within the police force. Hayley decides to testify. She goes to see Cruz and tells him all the memories she has of her rape. She also explains to him that Ted is persuaded that Jake is the rapist and that he has decided to take revenge. At the police station, Sophia, C.C. and Mason prove that the tape is legitimate. After some hesitancy, C.C. signs the document which raises his accusations of misappropriation of money against Gina. Kelly is released and finds her parents. Gina becomes established with her suitcases in Keith's flat. Hayley testifies about the rape in front of Keith. Facing the elements which she introduces, Keith is persuaded that the rapist is Jake. Hayley goes back to the Capwell residence and is going to lie down. Jake enters her room by the window and asks her if she really thinks that he could have raped her. Hayley howls. Cruz doubts Jake's guilt. He asks Julia to defend him. Julia wants to be persuaded first of all his innocence. Jake successfully passes a lie detector test. He tells Julia and Cruz that, the evening of the rape, he met an old homeless woman after he bought some alcohol in a shop. Cruz goes to the shelter, in search of this alibi. Lionel explains to Caroline that he thought that the invitation came from Augusta. He tells her that he is not ready to excuse her. Back at home, he phones Augusta and discovers that she is with another man different to the one that she left him for. After an story which Victoria told her on a surprise marriage, Eden has the idea of organising a ceremony to re-unite her parents. Keith puts Gina in a room in the same motel as Jeffrey.
