Valérie, who has decided to keep the baby but without telling Simon, is constantly having harrowing nightmares. For his birthday, Simon receives a present that could take his life in a totally different direction. Feeling lonely, Madeleine takes Kevin's problems very much to heart.

Simon and Valérie develop a strategy to reveal to their respective families both the pregnancy and their new life as a couple. Éric and Kevin pack their bags for Cape May. But Éric is cornered by Madeleine, totally depressed and somewhat drunk; Valérie flies to his rescue.

Simon's daughters are not yet aware that their father has a new partner, Valérie and Simon do everything possible to keep their secret. Alerted by her mother's erratic behavior, Valérie goes to her mother's house.

I could have written a great Nordic saga: Valérie and Simon invited their families to a brunch at Madeleine's. The latter, strong of his fifteen days of sobriety, decides to settle accounts with everyone. Kevin makes an important decision without consulting Eric. An unexpected visit then casts a chill during brunch.

Madeleine's new antidepressants make her a little more spontaneous than usual. Simon, feverish, announces to his daughters that he will move in with Valérie, but the reaction of Bibi and Margot is not what he expected.

It's moving day: Simon moves into Valérie's house where a big surprise awaits them. Everyone pitches in, even Madeleine has come to lend a hand, decked out in her chic suit and high heels.

Madeleine and Simon are desperate to find an occupation for Valérie, who can no longer take her enforced rest. When Shawn arrives, Valérie finally sees a favorable opportunity to make herself useful, but she takes advantage of the situation a little.

Simon would like Valérie to get rid of her nightmares so that she can go back to sleep. To do this, he takes her to consult Rachel. During their absence, Thomas is looked after by Margot and Bianca.

Valérie, serene, announces to all her family as well as to Rachel that she wishes to put an end to family therapy. While everyone is in agreement, Gilles surprises everyone by opposing his daughter's decision.

As he finishes setting up their house, Simon fears a one-on-one with Eric. Madeleine, surprised by her own spontaneity, offers to help Shawn clean out his garage. Great sentimental, he gets a little too attached to her.

Margot and Bianca are at Valérie's. Josiane comes to pick them up, but they are late. Josiane is convinced that her daughters are hiding something from her. Kevin is unhappy but surprised by a surprise Eric has prepared for him.

Eleven months later Kevin is in the midst of his paternity leave. Despite having so longed-for his baby, he's having trouble coping. Éric, Simon and brother Romain have to handle a crisis as disconcerting as it is unexpected. As Valérie recounts her nightmares to her mother, Madeleine develops strange symptoms.

Éric wants to keep up appearances before their fabulous New York friends, who surprised them by coming to the baby's christening. Kevin confides in Madeleine, whose frank reply is anything but reassuring. Valérie looks back at the lessons she learned from her burn-out.
