An apprentice lawyer, Hanyu, helps Komikado win a case, and then sets out on his own.

Komikado decides to help a celebrity who has been trashed by the press after being arrested.

Hanyu has opened his new law firm. Meanwhile, a man wants a divorce from his wife because he found out that she had cosmetic surgery to make her beautiful.

The two neighbours start amicably enough, but are soon embroiled in jealousy and rivalry over their progress, children and noise levels. Matters take a turn for the worse with fights breaking out. It is time to head to the court.

It becomes the basis of a lawsuit when in the death throes of a stationary company the president makes a declaration to an employee who has come up with the means for reversing its fortune. Is the remark a legally binding promise?

Who would have guessed it is regarding a case of polygamy with her son when a mother-in-law walks into a law office looking for representation? A woman and her three husbands on one side. An ex-wife and mother alongside a mother-in-law on the other. It is love versus law or law versus repugnance?

Mayazumi joins Hanyu's NEXUS law firm. A manga artist has a breakdown after being driven hard by his boss, and hires NEXUS to sue for compensation. Komikado is the opposition lawyer.

The Ozaoza Forest has been assigned as a protected area, with strict rules and limitations. This causes the villagers to break into two camps -- those who are for preservation, and those who want renovation.

Komikado tries to defend the woman found guilty of murder, in an appeals trial.

Hanyu makes an arrangement with the accused woman to drop Komikado's defense team.
