While Sophie struggles with how to communicate with her new AI sister, Matt is resistant to letting them meet at all, and a surprising decision from the audience causes Sophie and Matt's outlook on this new AI to change completely.

Sophie grows frustrated as she struggles in her relationships, Sebastian gives Matt some advice, and Mei tries a new tactic to better relate with Sophie.

Sophie's best friend Juju comes to host the livestream, but tensions boil when Sophie refuses to talk about her new friend with a terrible secret. Meanwhile, Mei Lin decides to introduce the AI Ada to someone new and Matt ruminates on the meaning behind Carmen the podcast host's visit to the Lin family.

Sophie's desires to combat a conspiracy theorist are met with reservations by Matt and Mei. Meanwhile, Sebastian's role in the Lin family's lives starts to unravel and a decision from the audience threatens to change Sophie and Matt's relationship forever.

As Matt and Sebastian's conflict comes to a head, Sophie forces a decision that will alter her relationships with everyone in her life. Meanwhile, Mei's health begins to rapidly deteriorate, and Ada's lack of freedom is brought to light.
