At the peak of the Covid epidemic in New York City, a nurse and a doctor take a break at the end of their long shifts at a hospital. As they discuss their trying experiences, we are exposed to a firsthand glimpse of the difficult lives of health care workers weathering one of the most serious crises in our history. Like two soldiers on the front lines sharing the unsettling scenes they witness every day, these two young women forge a mutual understanding as well as a bond of friendship.
