After 4-year old Grégory is found murdered in the Vologne river in a small village in northeastern France, local police suspects the crime may be linked to the anonymous threats that Grégory's parents, Christine and Jean-Marie Villemin had been receiving for past 3 years.

An alleged witness comes forward whose testimony points to the hand of an extended family member of Jean-Marie Villemin in the murder of his son, Grégory, but police investigation threatens to come full circle after the witness retracts her statement.
