America's landscape is crawling with creepy, cursed corners. Sinister caves. Forests filled with demons. Places possessed by the troubled spirits of citizens past, where even the most hardened skeptic feels a tingling in his spine. Mark and Mark visit some the country's spookiest spots, uncovering local folklore linking these locations to age-old curses.

Macabre legends, peculiar places, and strange stories haunt America, and WEIRD U.S. sets out to uncover the best. The first stop is Houston's "Orange Show"--one man's tribute to his favorite fruit. Next up is the 65-foot-high "Lucy the Margate Elephant" in Atlantic City. Then we head west to the "Mystery Spot" in Santa Cruz, California, where the laws of physics don't appear to be all that powerful. Finally, the Marks pay their respect to Civil War hero Stonewall Jackson's left arm, which is buried 200 miles from the rest of his body!

For centuries, archaeologists have dug for clues to our history. Here the Marks do some digging of their own, finding secret tunnels, caves and even cities that have been hidden for decades. From New Jersey tunnels dug by Napoleon's brother to the city beneath the streets of modern Seattle, each stop illuminates another aspect of hidden history. Tour underground railroad stops and jazz-era hiding holes, and dive in the silent waters of a flooded lead mine in Missouri.
