Katie McConnell got married. Then she went missing. Now she's suspected of murder - eight of her in-laws died on her wedding day. The only person who might know what really happened is hopeless romantic Stefan, who tells the police the story of how he met, and fell in love with, Katie at the first of a series of weddings over the summer. But Katie isn't done with him yet.

Stefan and Katie are on the run in the Scottish highlands, with Metts and Donahue hot on the heels. A visit to Uncle Fred, the last remaining Delaney, might provide some answers to what happened.

Katie and Stefan barely escape Uncle Fred's with their lives, and find a clue about the men pursuing them that leads them to Glasgow. In the past, Stefan encounters Katie at another seaside wedding, convinced that he'll find evidence that Hugo and her aren't right for each other. But just when he's about to give up on her, he finds some shocking evidence of what she's really up to.

Stefan and Katie's captor interrogates them about what happened on their trip to Las Vegas months earlier - a trip that Stefan thought was an impromptu bachelorette party for her after Mary Delaney bailed on her. But as Katie reveals, she had an ulterior motive that fit into her grand plan, and that put both of their lives in danger.

Stefan is back in the custody of Metts and Donahue, who are skeptical about The Block. He tells them about the day of Anil and Leila's wedding, where Stefan was kidnapped and dumped in the middle of nowhere by Hugo Delaney. Can Katie help him retrieve the wedding rings in time for the ceremony? Back in the present, Stefan's knowledge about The Block might put him in greater danger than ever before.

Katie journeys to London to seek answers from Vince, a tailor to the criminal underworld, while we finally learn the truth about her secret tragedy, and the ten-years-in-the-making revenge plot that it led to. Stefan searches for her in London, but is he ready to forgive her? And can he get to her before The Block do?

Katie and Stefan have made it to Texas, disguised as wedding dress fitters to infiltrate a massive crime family wedding, with a plan to extract a confession from the real killer and clear Katie's name. But they reveal more than either bargained for: Katie had one last secret, and it might change the way Stefan sees Katie forever.

Katie and Mitzi hide out in a desert chapel, seemingly out of options, as the murderer, and Stefan, close in. Can he forgive her? Is there any way out of their desperate situation? And that help is coming in a very unexpected form?
