Ships sink and allies die, but Alfred and Sigbjørn bravely fight the threat of the German Navy while their involuntary participation in the war drags on.

In the wake of the war, Sigbjørn attempts to rebuild his life in Norway until a shocking letter leads him to make a fateful decision.
