Rose and her best friend Lissa are dragged back to St. Vladimir's Academy after a year on the run. Upon their return, they are surprised to discover that both everything and nothing have changed about the place and people they left behind.

With the girls officially back at the Academy, they both have quite a bit of catching up to do. In class, Rose reunites with her dhampir friend Mason while, across campus in the attic of the church, Lissa encounters old friend/school leper, Christian Ozera.

Tensions rise at the school as Lissa's use of her strange magic has unexpected consequences for both her and her bond-mate, Rose. Secrets and blood will both be spilt in this mid-season finale.

In this first minisode, Rose is in for a bumpy ride when she gets pulled into one of Lissa's gruesome nightmares.

Rose wakes up from a dreadful nightmare, aware that it wasn't her own.

When her research into Lissa's magic leads her to the school's namesake, Rose seeks Christian's help in finding more information.

Still stuck inside recovering from her injuries, Lissa stays up late studying. She isn't expecting the knock on the door -- or what comes after.

While searching through mountains of books about and journals by Saint Vladimir with Christian, Rose gets pulled into a disturbing vision of the world through Lissa's eyes.

After someone delivers a dead rabbit to Lissa's doorstep, Rose rushes to her best friend's aid. While Rose insists that it's just a stupid joke by a classmate, a shell-shocked Lissa worries that there might be more to the story.

Rose convinces a hesitant Christian to reconcile with a slowly unraveling Lissa.

In their first conversation after their argument over her use of compulsion, Lissa apologizes to Christian.
