A mysterious disappearance makes two completely separate worlds collide, creating an extremely odd couple - the lawyer Emily and recently released convict Teddy.

Both Emily and Teddy are hurt by the intruders in Philip's apartment, but Teddy is able to sneak out before anyone sees him. When Emily realizes that he knows Södertälje well, she asks him for help. And that is just the beginning.

They only have two days to find Philip. Philip's sister has come home to deal with the mess. Teddy's nephew and his friends are involved somehow. They were the ones who mugged Philip, but are they behind the kidnapping too?

Teddy is more and more affected the further they get in their search. He starts to think back what resulted in his prison sentence. It is time for Emily's partner meeting, for which she is prepared to sacrifice absolutely anything.

They finally find and rescue Philip. The only question is how Teddy could have known where to find him? Emily prepares to make the deal of a lifetime, but when it is time to sign, it turns out that she has been taken off the deal.

Once the kidnapper is revealed and the victim found, it becomes clear that their problems have only just started. Both Emily and Teddy are driven to seek vindication for old betrayals by those closest to them.

Emily is advised to take leave from the firm. She and Teddy go to Mallorca to look for Kum's daughter, who has been hiding Mats for all these years.

Emily realizes Leijon doesn't just push the boundaries of the law, but has knowingly committed the gravest of crimes. Teddy sits in the emergency room, waiting to hear if Sara survived the bomb attack intended for him.
