As Trudeau and local policeman Theberge delve into the victim's past, Trudeau's relationship with her daughter adds tension within the circle of suspects.

While Celine's boss back in Quebec City pressures her to solve the killing and not dwell on it being a serial murderer, she and Alex make a discovery that makes that difficult.

Family entanglements complicate the investigation as Celine starts to put together an idea of the killer's reasoning while her superior insists she not call it a serial killing due to politics.

Anthony and Rafe leave the area before he is questioned by the police. Professional and personal relationships in a place where secrets are hard to keep develop.
