An Italian policeman is killed while hunting down a drug dealer. His soul detaches from his human body and he is able to see images of the near future. Those visions make him decide stay and not to open the afterlife door: "La Porta Rossa".

Cagliostro is trying to deliver a message to his ex-wife, Anna, with the help of Vanessa, the only person who can really see and hear him.

Cagliostro asks Vanessa for help to find an important clue which might lead to the person who killed him.

Anna discovers that her ex husband -Scaglione- rented an unofficial private archive (storage room) where all the records from a former investigation had been stored. Vanessa is trying to find out information about her mother's death.

Some clues lead Anna to a striptease club where Cagliostro used to go. Vanessa goes to the asylum where her mother is at. The killer tricks everybody by incriminating one of the main characters.

Anna finds out about Cagliostro and Stella affair. Vanessa and her aunt go find Vanessa's mum. Cagliostro suspects of having found the mole.

The mole is discovered and tries to escape by kidnapping Anna.

Cagliostro is certain that he does not need to be on Earth anymore. Vanessa's mother reveals why she abandoned her when she was little.

Cagliostro asks Vanessa to find a diary from one of the Mexican's dealers. Anna changes her mind and is dead set on having the baby. There is a new suspect through a phone number clue.

Vanessa confesses to Raffaelle that she has fallen for Filip. Cagliosotro finds out who killed him. Anna and her dad argue because of how she has been trying to find out who was the Mexican's accomplice.

Raffaele's death leads Cagliostro to find out who is behind the whole plot. Anna will be found in the middle of it all by sheer chance.

The killer visits Anna but he ends up painting himself into a corner. Cagliostro needs to decide whether he stays forever or leaves. And Anna's and Caglistro's baby's name is revealed.
