Jenn is working late when an emergency is called in. She races to the scene to find horror unfolding for a broken family and must now uncover the truth behind it.

The Morecambe community rallies around the grieving Metcalf family. Jenn and the team find key evidence that all was not well in the Metcalf home, while Jenn's own home life is causing sleepless nights and disagreements with Chris.

The Metcalf kids struggle to cope with their loss, while Dean surprises Jenn by pushing to return to work. CCTV evidence leads to a major case development, while Chris and Erin's disagreements reach new heights, leaving Jenn frustrated.

Dean is confronted with another life-changing event, but when Jenn fears that Dean will do that something he regrets, she loses sight of troubles with her own family.
