Rusty develops a case of hero worship when an outlaw saves Rin Tin Tin from another outlaw.

Rin Tin Tin, Rusty, and an escaped prisoner, who claims he is being framed for murder, are lost in a severe dust storm in the middle of the desert. To make matters worse, they are nearly out of water, and Rinty is suffering from a venomous snake bite.

After Colonel Parker's wife demands that Rusty be removed from the base and placed under a woman's care, Rusty quickly arranges a wedding between a willing Indian maiden and an unwilling Lt. Rip Masters.

A medicine man and his daughter come to the fort fleeing a bandit that framed him for stealing.

While testing a new signaling device, Rusty and Rin Tin Tin come across a marshal with a very dangerous prisoner.

A reporter arrives at the fort. The Indians refer to his camera as "The Magic Box".

RIP, Rusty and Rin Tin Tin help a Mexican town overcome an evil townsmen who has organized a group of bandits.

The soldiers help settle a confrontation between 2 town newspapers, one honest and one corrupt.

The wife of a missing miner, who is presumed dead, arrives at the post looking for her husband's gold mine. The outlaw who robbed and shot him thinks the wife may have received a letter with information about the mines location. Lt. Rip Masters, Sgt. O'Hara, Rusty, and Rin Tin Tin accompany her on the search using clues from her letter. The outlaws kidnap the wife but are stopped by Rinny and the troopers. However the third outlaw gets the drop on them until he is shot by a mysterious drifter who turns out to be the husband.

The troop accompany railroad men to a ghost town located in the path of a scheduled railroad track looking for the owner of the land. Mysterious phenomena seem to be the work of ghosts. Rin Tin Tin discovers a crusty old man who turns out to be the owner of the land and the town's ex-marshall. He is a hermit who is trying to scare visitors away. After the troopers and railroad men leave, three outlaws ride in. He orders them to leave, telling them that he will gun them down at sunset if they are still in town. Sgt. O'Hara brags that he is a military genius and then loses his stripes when he saves a fellow soldier because he did it by disobeying orders and risking the lives of 6 other soldiers.

An unscrupulous attorney wanting to collect reward money fakes documents proving Rusty is the grandson of a rich woman.

Lumsden Hare plays Angus MacTavish, an elderly miner from Scotland, complete with kilts and bagpipe, lives in an old mystery mine. Everyone in the area is aware that a gold mine is supposed to be in the area, but even with widely available maps that purport to pinpoint the location it has not been found. The Scotchman is believed to be a ghost, and the mine haunted. Two tenderfoot prospectors, Travis (Lee Rogers) and Gage (Henry Rowland) are found fighting by Lt. Rip Masters, Sgt.
