A car accident puts the lives of the victims and the crew at risk.

Jack continues to butt heads with Andy when he begins his first shift as co-captain.

Andy and Jack disagree over spending decisions at the station.

Miranda Bailey visits Ben and meets his new co-workers; most of the team responds to a motor accident involving an electrical danger; Andy and Maya go on their first stakeout.

Andy and Jack take the captaincy drill test along with 18 other candidates for the spot of captain at Station 19; Travis serves as acting captain; Ben confronts Victoria regarding her fears.

Ryan gets competitive with Jack when he tags along to a disaster drill training; Andy stays by her father's side when his health worsens.

Ripley interviews each member of the Station 19 crew to determine whether Andy or Jack should be given the role of captain. Meanwhile, a mom's day out on a party bus takes a turn for the worst, and Captain Pruitt continues his treatment.

A simple call becomes life threatening, when part of the team is trapped in a garage.
