On a girls night with police colleagues in a local bar, Karoline Joost happens to see Peer Seiler put K.O. drug in Sina Blohm's glass, yet can't prove it. Next morning, Peer Seiler is found murdered in his sail making workshop. He was popular, slick, yet kept a large supply of the drug he didn't need to score dates, none of which ever filed any complaint. Peer Seiler had long-standing trouble with Sina Blohm, who like husband Hendrik becomes a main suspect. However the dosing doesn't fit at all, requiring a general re-thinking of the case.

Shortly after her void attempt to stop an illegal drug race, truck mechanic Jessy Winter is found skull-smashed in the workshop she recently took over from her late father, returning to Wismar after her Rostock apprenticeship. She started an affair with Alex Lohmann, whose rivaling shop sells parts and does some car tuning. It looks like she found out and threatened to expose his use of cheap, inferior Chinese spare parts for German cars. She has no alibi, but the team also digs into her family, brother and mother having their own potential motives.

While gym club Magdeburg is on training camp in Wismar, where its two representatives are to be selected for the national championships, favorite Mia Lebedew is found dead after a probably pushed fall besides the bar, having sneaked in to train without supervision. Bitter competition meant the girls aren't friends, making her rivals prime suspects, notably Nele Klein, who really does it for her father Heiko, and whose secret boyfriend, Rafael Thomas, can only see her sneaking in. Spanish 'digital nomad' Arturo Ramirez's corpse is found in a breeding tank of the Baltic fish reintroduction program managed by Dr. Stella Liebnitz, who found him but claims not to know him. His apparently fatal burn by phosphor, which man can confound with amber, doesn't prevent Helene's autopsy: lethal neck fracture, foul play, and dragged to the beach afterwards.
