A chance arrest leads investigators to an encounter with their prime suspect, but they not sure if they can prove his guilt and continue to hold him.

Investigators are in a race against time to capture the killer; as news of a massacre hits the headlines, it becomes clear that the suspect is on the move in another state; a final showdown ends in a battle of wits.
