Ash Ketchum starts off his journey with a brand new, yet severely jaded Pikachu, and has his first encounter: a girl named Misty.

Ash rushes to Viridian City to get help for his dying/dead Pikachu. Unfortunately, all he gets is Nurse Joy, Misty, Team Rocket, and an odd call from Professor Oak.

Team Rocket terrorizes Ash and Misty by just kinda being there. Not much happens. YOU'LL BE AT THE EDGE OF YOUR SEATS.

Misty makes Ash and the Samurai's Metapods harden. Pikachu also sets fire to the homes of countless terrorist bugs.

Seymour Butts gives Ash, Misty, and some guy named Brock a tour of Mt. Moon. Seriously, who the heck is Brock?

Brock actually gets introduced. Ash Ketchum and Misty (No Last Name) go on a date. Flint has some advice to give.

Ash Ketchum faces off against his ehst friend, Misty, in a battle of not-wits. Brock goes off somewhere. What the hell is a Sisters(ies)?(er?)s?.

Ash Ketchum catches his Charmander, much to the awe of Brock and dismay of Misty. Charmander's owner, Damian, gets a critical lesson on morals from... Brock?

Brock meets fellow Pokemon Breeder Suzy, but somehow has nothing in common with her. Ash makes fun of Misty as per usual.

Ash, Misty, and Brock stumble upon someone even MORE annoying than them: Barbara. Ibbn't she beautibul? At least Ash gets a Bulbasaur.

Ash and Pikachu face the third gym leader, Lt. Surge, and his REALLY FUNNY Raichu. Brock can't stop laughing. Misty wishes he would.

Ash gets ready to face the fourth gym leader, Erika, by requesting help from Team Rocket. Misty is not amused. Brock is aroused.

Ash Ketchum finds a gym that isn't really a gym, but battles anyways. Brock calls Misty "crazy". And so it begins.

Ash Ketchum's hat departs from Ash's head, granting it increased intelligence. Brock and Misty recall the "good ol' days".

We offset last episode's flashbacks by jumping to the future! What happens to Ash, Misty, and Brock in the 'Bridged version of Pokemon Advanced?

Ash, Misty, and Brock are trapped by the Narrator in Pokemon Harlem. Nurse Joy and Officer Jenny continue to not do their jobs properly

Ash Ketchum becomes a PI and solves the case of the missing Arnold's Mom's Charmander. Misty and Brock make mediocre sidekicks.

It's time again for Ash Ketchum to unfairly obtain another badge! Ninja Gym Leader Koga and his Ninja Daughter Aya Ninja battle him. Crazy Misty is strangely absent.

Ash, Misty, and Brock get involved with the internal affairs of the Eevee Brothers Family.

Ash and Pikachu finally explore the option of splitting up. Brock sees it all.

Ash and Pikachu face the third gym leader, Lt. Surge, and his REALLY FUNNY Raichu. Brock can't stop laughing. Misty wishes he would.

Ash and Misty leave Brock behind, but pick up a more-than-worthy replacement: Tracey Sketchit. They also enslave a Lapras.

Misty narrowly avoids engagement, with the help of Ash's refusal to know what he's doing.

Ash frees SlaveLabor the Lapras and returns home. Brock also returns, from the netherworld. Misty is surprisingly welcoming of Brock's return.
