An Internet company have a survival kick-off at Svartlien. Jan-Erik becomes angry when Sven-Erik decides that the proceedings will be used to repair the cabin roofs instead of buying a new snow rider, he makes a deal with the company owners who are interested in hunting...

The three Näslund brothers from Vargvallen, who run a far more successful establishment than Svartlien, pay a visit to remember their dead father who was killed in an avalanche in Svartlien. While there, the middle brother challenges Jan-Erik to a ski race down a cliff wall.

A Norweigan pilot crash lands in Svartlien and takes a strange liking to Gudrun. Meanwhile, Olle goes to the movies with a ticket Gudrun won in a competition, much to the envy of Jan-Erik.

When Bengt-Hans sends for his niece, Eva-Lena, to help him out in the bar, Jan-Erik immediately becomes attracted to her and, desperate to impress her, decides to climb to down a cliff shaft to pick up silver treasure that was dropped there in the 18th century.

The staff of Svartlien are throwing an office party. Eva-Lena has suggested that this year's will be a masquerade party, much to Sven-Erik's disbelief. Meanwhile, Yngve has found a years-old skeleton which he strongly suspects of being Stor-Erik, the father of the Marklund brothers. Unfortunately, he appears to have been murdered and Yngve suspects Sven-Erik, whose hunting knife was found at the scene, for the crime...

The manhunt for Sven-Erik continues. While Yngve and the rest of the staff try to identify the killer and Sven-Erik looks for the truth out in the wilderness, Bengt-Hans comes to think of a piece of evidence left in Svartlien some time earlier that unambiguously will prove Sven-Erik's innocence.
