After abandoning modern society for eight-years, YZ Entertainment co-founder Jung Tae-kyung returns to form a k-pop group comprising problematical talent.

Tae-kyung starts working on the group's personal flaws.

Tae-kyung introduces a fifth member into the group, a top class dance instructor whom Tae-kyung once personally groomed to become an idol.

When Part-Time Idols skips practice, Jung Tae-kyung calls for "the Hell Course" boot camp, led by the renowned Producer of Hell, to instill discipline.

The night before their debut, Part-Time Idols decide to read tarot cards for fun, but the results keep them from a good night's sleep and initiate a spate of bad omens.
