Fang Han begins to be suspected by Gu Tao but manages to maintain his trust. Drug dealer Qi Ke asks Gu Tao for help in delivering a consignment of drugs but is rebuffed. Jin Lanlan makes her first appearance as the proprietor of a bar.

Fang Han finds out about Luo Fei's relationship with Gu Tao. Jin Guihua, Jin Lanlan's godmother, hooks Gu Tai up to Ji Sanbao, a drug dealer. Qi Ke helps Mao Zi hide from Gu Tao.

Qi Ke orders his gang to assassinate Gu Tao's sidekicks. Fang Han is injured during the battle, which goads Gu Tao's sidekick Qi Xia into looking for Jin Guihua.

Qi Ke orders his sidekick Ba Zai to kill Jin Guihua. Gu Tao begins to suspect Jin Lanlan and rejects Qi Ke's proposal for a collaboration.
