Mr. Lee, appoints his son, Jordan, manager of Lee's Burger Block. Meanwhile, Ayana, disappointed by Mr. Lee's decision, struggles to find contentment in her position at Lee's. However, when her YouTube video goes viral, she gets the spark she desperately needs.

After some life changing news, Trey has to get in touch with what he really needs, including what's next for his career. However, after a disappointing interview, Trey pushes Jordan to consider him as an assistant Manager. Meanwhile, Jordan conducts counseling sessions after an incident occurs in the restaurant.

After a Tinder date goes horribly wrong, Rosita, with the help of her co-workers decides to put herself out there. Ayana and Trey are in constant competition, stealing credit here and there, to better position themselves for the assistant manager position.

Revelations about D's past and insecurities come to the surface in his relationships, with his girlfriend, co-workers and family. His sister Nishi shows up, but is he ready to face her? He feels there is too much history and change between them, but she feels otherwise. Trey finally takes some initiative in his personal life.

Jordan comes to terms with his dad over his ambitions to be a novelist. Trey and Mimi start to prepare for being parents. The Burger Block team bands together and realizes they need Jordan more than ever. They organize a burger eating contest to boost business and morale.

The burger block team bands together to keep Lee's open while pursuing their own passions. Trey is itching for his promotion, while Jordan shifts his focus towards his novel. Ayana is promoted to Assistant manager but struggles with the reality of her dream job - is someone on the Burger Block team better suited? D works to live in the moment and reconcile his past with his present. Ayana waits to hear back from graduate schools.
