Misao Kashima is a retired singer. She gave up her career after her husband died. After mourning for eight years, one day she finds the courage to return to the diner and eat a favourite dish of her late husband: minced meat cutlets. When one of the customers asks her for help with his sick wife, Misao is forced to review her own life choices.

Uno is a manga editor. Whenever he signs a new artist to his magazine, he brings them to the diner to try the master's recipe for cherry tomatoes wrapped in bacon. When his new star Hashimoto seems to be incapable of creating any new significant work, Uno starts to wonder if the tomatoes are giving him bad luck. This isn't the first time this happens.

A female private investigator specializing in catching cheating spouses, may have to put her reputation on the line in order to capture a cautious adulterer.

Komichi-kun, a photographer and regular patron of the diner has always been unlucky at love but as a new lady visits the diner cupid strikes. But a wealthy philandering client he works also show a lecherous interest in the girl.

Two women, friends since high school attend their school reunion and the unveiling of their class time capsule. Can their friendship survive when the contents of the capsule are revealed?

Marilyn the exotic dancer has always felt abandoned by her absentee mother. When she finds out her mom is ill, Marilyn rushes to her but there may be doubt as to her real condition.

A happily married couple but the wife has to return to her hometown to celebrate the birth of her grandchild from children of her previous two marriages. There she bumps into an old flame, while her husband meets a pretty young lady.

A yakuza bumps into his high school teacher at the diner, and long forgotten passions are re-ignited. Could there be a happy ever after for this gangster.

An uptight detective might have fallen for a widow from one of his former cases. His partner unravels the mystery and tries to get him to confess his feelings.
