With the Major League season approaching, Goro arrives in Florida for training camp. To his annoyance, he is quickly surrounded by Japanese media.

Goro is named the Hornets' starting pitcher for the third game of the season. He gets off to a great start as his family and friends watch from Japan.

Goro seems back in form as his second start approaches. Meanwhile, Hornets' closer Watts has a theory to explain Goro's peculiar Major League debut.

After hitting a batter in the head with a pitch, Goro is in shock. His struggles persist in the following game, forcing the coach to make a decision.

Goro wakes up in the house of sports psychologist Billy Oliver. He begins Goro's treatment by having him watch a DVD of his past pitching failures.

After giving up a hit to Silva, Goro is able to calm himself down and close out the inning. But his lack of emotion puzzles him after the game.

Goro has recovered from the yips, but his lack of passion for the game is preventing a full return to form. Meanwhile, Gibson Jr.'s slump continues.

Goro and Gibson Jr. are both shocked by Gibson's announcement that he is coming out of retirement. The veteran's first game back is against Goro.

Still intent on returning to the Major League, Gibson drops down to the minors. Oliver reveals to Goro the reason why Gibson continues to pitch.

Shimizu focuses on saving up money to visit Goro in America. She considers quitting softball when her work and practice become difficult to balance.

With Goro fully recovered, the Hornets finally attain a winning record. However, a rare batting slump from Dunston snaps the team's winning streak.

The Hornets are nearing the top of the division, but things go awry when the owner trades for Mike Murdoch, a player known for causing team friction.

The Hornets' owner blames Murdoch for the losing streak and demands that he be benched. But Coach Stacy offers the powerful batter a second chance.

The game against the Panthers continues. Goro's inspired pitching amid the team's uneven play finally triggers a change of attitude in Murdoch.

The Hornets' next game is against Goro's former team, the Salmons. Goro tries greeting them before the game, but they give him the cold shoulder.

The inconsistent Hornets are back to their losing ways. Goro starts against the Browns, but he's quickly frustrated by an unusually strict umpire.

When Goro bluntly refuses the Hornets' owner's request to star in a T.V. commercial, a fellow employee named Sophia is tasked with changing his mind.

With the roster set to be expanded with players from the minors, Roy is motivated when he hears of his old teammate Kellogg's success with the Bats.

Gibson and Gibson Jr. face off in the majors for the first time. Afterward, the Hornets play the first of a three-game series against the Coyotes.

Goro is named the closer for the Hornets. He sees a doctor after experiencing pain in his left arm during the Coyotes game and receives some bad news.

The Hornets and the Coyotes play one final game for the division championship. Silva gets the Coyotes going with a home run in the sixth inning.

Goro takes the mound against the Coyotes but struggles due to a lack of practice. He soon finds himself in a pinch with the bases loaded and no outs.

The championship-deciding match enters extra innings. Despite the risk to his arm, Goro carries the Hornets with a brilliant pitching display.

Goro is discharged from the hospital, and Sophia is tasked with handling his rehab. Gibson and Gibson Jr. compete for a chance at the World Series.

The team allows Goro to continue his rehab in Japan. Shimizu goes to see him, but she has a misunderstanding about his relationship with Sophia.
