Madame Fichini takes Sophie to Madame De Fleurville 's castle where she meets her little friends again.But Sophie crushes Camille's flowers ,and it starts a quarrel.

Sophie is relieved when she learns that her stepmother,about to marry a Russian prince ,does not want to take care of her anymore.In the wood, with her friends and their mothers,she meets a poor adolescent.

Sophie and Marguerite want to help a poor old woman,but they get lost in the wood.

To thank nanny Elisa ,who has nursed sick Camille with devotion,the little girls stage their own play.

Paul helps Leon regain his self-confidence and his self-esteem ; after a fight against four cowards ,Sophie's cousin strikes up a great friendship with him.

Madame De Fichini comes back but she is terminally ill and Madame De Fleurville adopts Sophie.Ten years after , all Sophie's friends and family are gathered for a feast.
