The format of the programme changes for this final series: here, Kelly's life and monologues are all part of a fictional sitcom-within-the-sitcom, which Kelly discusses with his production team (Enn Reitel and Donald Gee).

Kelly's sitcom features him being made redundant after the Gods of Ancient Greece decide to ruin his life just for kicks. However, his production team are concerned that by doing a show about getting axed, they could be tempting fate.

Kelly reflects on what life would be like if the supernatural had human frailties, whether his nose is too big, and just why it's so hard to tell the truth.

Kelly's producer is unhappy with all the swearing in the latest episode of his sitcom. Meanwhile, two supporting actors are confused as to the "show within a show" aspect of the series, and another can't remember his lines.

Kelly, his producer and his co-writer are all filled with dread when a documentary about their show is about to be screened on television - and the results are far from flattering.

Kelly's producer has brought conflict into his sitcom by introducing an ex-boyfriend for Alexandra, and a punk girlfriend for Kelly. However, Kelly finds it all unnecessary and over the top, and the behind-the-scenes ructions are a strain.
