Journalist Anupam Chaubey interviews Sunny Leone, one of the most googled celebrities in India, and starts on a disparaging note. Unperturbed by his tone, Sunny (Karenjit Kaur) opens about the lesser known accounts of her early childhood life.

Karenjit's family moves to Los Angeles where the rebel in teenage Karenjit begins to grow wings. From her school days in Los Angeles to the filming of her very first porn film, life moves swiftly and like an adventure for young Karenjit.

Tired of lying to her parents and sneaking out on weekends, a 19-year-old Karenjit tells her parents upfront that she's going to a party leaving them dumbfounded. At the party, succumbing to peer pressure, Karenjit ends up losing her virginity to a guy she recently met. Meanwhile, back home, a startling revelation about her mother awaits her.

When the Vohra family celebrates Raksha Bandhan at home, Karenjit breaks the news to her parents that she's going to Hollywood to shoot for a clothing brand commercial. Later, she confides in her brother that she is actually shooting for a soft porn film.

Moving out of her parents' house at the age of 19 to pursue a degree in pediatrics, Karenjit gets a lucrative offer to feature on the cover and centerfold of Penthouse magazine. She contemplates taking up the offer, but a rather unusual little pep talk with her university dean seals the deal for her.

Karenjit is swamped with offers in the world of adult entertainment and she rakes in a lot of success and money, which she splurges on herself and her family. However, after she wins the Penthouse Pet of the Year in 2003, Karenjit realizes that she can't keep her line of her work a secret anymore from her parents.

Karenjit, finally, gathers courage to reveal her truth to her parents. Shocked by this revelation, her parents and her best friend disown her. A dejected Karenjit is left to gather her life's broken pieces.

Irritated with his immaturity, Karenjit decides to dump her live-in boyfriend, Chuck. In a fortuitous moment, she meets Daniel Webber at the Adult Video Awards and the duo hit it off instantly.

Ashamed of Karenjit's profession, the relatives shun the Vohra family which hurts Karenjit's parents. Following this, Karenjit's brother, Sunny decides not to apply for admission in a reputed college just to be with his emotionally disturbed parents.

Karenjit's appearance on Richard Stone's radio show opens a Pandora's box leading to Karenjit's parents being ostracized by their community. However, Karenjit feels no regrets for any of her life choices, except for one. Leaving all her issues behind, Sunny Leone is set to begin a new and exciting chapter with Vivid Entertainment.
