Takumi suffers unexpected consequences as a result of Project D's popularity, as the imposters of the team appear in Saitama.

Project D begins their battle in Kanagawa against Team 246. Keisuke attempts to play on the overconfidence of his opponent in Lan Evo's speed.

Both inspired and shocked by Keisuke's performance, Satoshi aims to apply the same strategy in the downhill race with Takumi.

In a bid to "graduate" from street racing, Kai Kogashiwa tries to get revenge for his loss to Takumi in the past.

Kogashiwa gets to experience the real difference between street and circuit racing. Meanwhile, Keisuke's race becomes a matter of pride because he is finally pitted against a pro.

Mika and Takumi discuss going pro in their respective sports. On the road, Ryuji Ikeda, leader of Team Spiral, encounters a man with a death wish.

Ryuji Ikeda is a firm believer in his "Zero Theory," but as the mountain pass's weather conditions begin to worsen, his composure will be tested.

Disappointed in Zero's attitude towards his loss, Hiroya Okuyama is determined to not leave anything to chance and lets Takumi lead in the fog.

Ryosuke goes behind the team's back to face ghosts from his not too distant past.

Ryosuke is willing to endure everything Rin Hojo throws at him. Ryuji can seemingly do nothing but observe as years of suppressed anguish turn it into a race to the death.

With disaster nearly avoided, Rin and Ryosuke reflect on what Kaori meant to them. Takumi Fujiwara's final opponent's car is revealed, and with all 3 lines of defense down, Project D prepares for the final race with Sidewinder.

The final uphill race is about to begin. Rin Hojo shares his thoughts on his brother's and Sidewinder's mentality as a whole. Meanwhile, Shinji Inui is nowhere to be seen.

Ryosuke reflects on Keisuke's incredible growth as a racer as Sidewinder is baffled why the FD isn't falling behind.

Go Hojo is bracing for Keisuke's inevitable dash, meditating on his brother's words before the race. Shinji is filled with a new-found passion that convinces him to not forfeit the race.
