Two teachers and their children are in transit when their plane nearly misses a mountain ridge and crashes in the Alaskan wilderness. With no communication and hours of worrying if they will be rescued, human survival kicks in while they hang onto hope that they will be saved.

One of the nations biggest disasters occurs when an interstate bridge collapses into the Mississippi River during rush hour. Cars are submerged and teetering and a school bus with children escape nearby flames. A massive rescue begins with officials and everyday heroes.

A father and daughter's hike through Glacier National Park turns into a nightmare when a bear attacks the two of them. Injured and unable to get help they hang onto life when other hikers find them and a cliff side rescue begins.
