Harold and the Purple Crayon

One night Harold can't sleep so, accompanied by the moon and his purple crayon, he explores the big world outside his window.

When it's raining outside Harold's window, Harold can't sleep because he wants to know where rain comes from.

Harold discovers what it's like to be as small as a bug, and learns he can accomplish great things even though he's small.

Frustrated that his stuffed animal can't play fetch with him, Harold's frustrations are solved when his stuffed dog Lilac comes to life.

After hearing beautiful music from his bedroom window, Harold sets out to discover where it's coming from.

In his fantasy world, Harold searches for his pet goldfish, Goldie, who has died, and in doing so, befriends a mermaid who helps him understand the meaning of death.

After celebrating his birthday and playing with all his new toys, Harold wishes for another birthday party and along the way learns about the value of friendship.

Harold goes back to the prehistoric age when he explores what it would be like to come face to face with dinosaurs.

Frustrated that he can't draw a perfect circle, Harold visits a museum. After experiencing all the different forms of art, Harold learns to appreciate his lopsided circles.

Harold is fascinated by animals and wonders what it would be like to be an elephant, giraffe, camel, cheetah, penguin and monkey.

When the Moon disappears at bedtime, Harold sets out to discover where it's gone.

Harold discovers what it's like to be a grown-up and explores different professions: train engineer, astronaut, and baseball player.

After refusing to eat squash, Harold is sent to his room. Wanting to go somewhere where no one can tell him what to do, Harold becomes a lonesome cowboy who gets entangled in a wild adventure.
