Marcus Jones, an investigator for the Vatican, is sent to a town of Hollow Falls, in the Midwest of America, to investigate the murder of a priest from Rome. Marcus is then led to the nearby town of Haven's Mill, where his investigation turns from a normal murder, to something that the town, and entire world, was not expecting; the end of days.

Things get even more complicated for Marcus and Stasha with Susan Wilcox coming into town. Mayor Harrington's affair with Misty Quinn intensifies. The Entity arrives at St. John's Church. Susan Wilcox gets interviewed live on TV.

After Marcus and Adrienne investigate Susan Wilcox's house, he returns to find that Father Mike O' Leary is missing, and that Stasha was attack by an invisible presence. The plan to destroy Mayor Lucas Harrington, by Misty Quinn and Susan Wilcox, is getting closer to being a reality. Adrienne, and Sam are off to not only find Father O'Leary, but now, trying to find why Marcus, and Stasha are now missing.

As Susan Wilcox makes the next move to become more powerful, Marcus discovers new and unexpected allies that could turn the table on the evil in Haven's Mill.

After Adrienne's first encounter with a demon, Marcus comes back to save her and take her where the Descendants are hiding out. While the Descendants, Marcus, and Adrienne plan an attack on Susan Wilcox, Susan announces officially that she will be running for mayor, after the death and corruption of Mayor Lucas Harrington. Tyler Gibbs gigs deeper into Susan, and her campaign. Bobby is a prisoner at his own house, while his mother, Mary, is being charged for the murder of her husband. The Sin Demon, who has been come back for Wren, brings a huge ripple in the plans of The Descendants, where they now have to turn their attention to help Wren against the massive Sin Demon. Susan continues to campaign, as a new contender emerges to battle her in the mayor race. Sam and Robert search for Adrienne, but a new murder makes things more intense. Samantha must take the role of DA, since Colt is missing. Wren and the others must not only face the Sin Demon, but also Susan Wilcox, in a battle where they are out numbered and out matched.
