Yuan Hao once again runs into Mao Xiao Chun, who this time is very intoxicated, and ends up reluctantly taking care of her. The next day, she quickly leaves and loses her necklace. Despite his unimpressive resume, Luo Yiyang lands a receptionist job at Yuan's office, yet makes a horrible first impression. Shanshan proposes to Yuan Hao, but he is not enthusiastic about moving to the United States.

Yuan Hao considers accepting Shan Shan's marriage proposal, but feels that they have too many different values. Meanwhile, Luo Yiyang tries to make an impression on his new job, but hardly impresses anyone.

Unaware that the necklace has a strong emotional meaning to her, Yuan Hao decides to play some tricks on Mao Xiao Chun before returning the necklace. Luo Yiyang steps up to offer help to her, and when her ex boyfriend Zeng Jian spots him at her house, he thinks that she is seeing him.

Mao Xiao Chun is kicked out of her house by her landlord and accepts Luo Yiyang's offer to move in with him. Yuan Hao organizes a company party, where Shan Shan unexpectedly announces that she and Yuan Hao are engaged. When Zeng Jian tries to break off his relationship with Ai Qi, she reveals that she is pregnant.

Mr. Yuan has an eye problem and is hospitalized. After Mao Xiao Chun and Ai Qi's fight at the office party, Ai Qi's mother An Ni, upset that her daughter has lost face, swears revenge.

An Ni unexpectedly appoints Mr. Dai as the acting general manager of the travel agency. When Mao Xiao Chun's parents spot her having lunch with Yuan Hao, they assume he is her boyfriend, after which Xiao Chun asks Yuan Hao to keep up the charade. Meanwhile, a mysterious woman is taking photos of their interactions.

Dissatisfied with the new work hierarchy, Yuan Hao takes some time off and attempts to connect with his fiancee. Their romantic day together is cut short when he loses his engagement ring. Meanwhile, Zeng Jian tries to make amends with Mao Xiao Chun, much to Ai Qi's dismay.
