Nothing is too good for Gene's little girl when he takes what starts as a simple birthday celebration and, against Sophie's wishes, attempts to turn it into the Sweet Sixteen of the Century.

Nick learns the blues first hand when an innocent business trip with Dad results in him taking the stage on the spot where the legendary Robert Johnson sold his soul to the devil 100 years before.

Gene visits his mom on Long Island only to learn she has volunteered him to host a fundraiser for the local fire department...and train with them.

When Gene and Shannon hit New Jersey to be Godfather to a friend's newborn grandson Shannon inadvertently starts a feminist uprising amongst the subservient wives when she refuses to fall into line with tradition.

While Gene rings the bell at the New York Stock Exchange and spreads the word about investing in America, Shannon does some spending of her own when she gets addicted to late night infomercials.

When Shannon falls ill it is up to Gene to keep an eye on Sophie and her 5 hyper friends, fend off a horde of horny boys trying to crash the party and track down one bad girl who sneaks out for a little rendezvous.

Sophie and Gene both have interesting evenings when she puts a cheating boy through the wringer and he volunteers a depressed Carrot Top to crash a Vegas bachelorette party.

Seeking more "family time," Shannon guilts the family into throwing a 70's-themed "Murder Mystery Party.

Shannon and Tracy spend a weekend at a Wine Country vineyard and inadvertently almost destroy a young couple's wedding; Nick has to work nonstop to finish a missed deadline for his comic book.

When his nephews' dog passes away Gene lends them Snippy to help cheer them up and quickly realizes he needs to find them a new pet before they get too attached.

Like father, like son. Gene and Nick are both caught in embarrassing situations they must hide from Shannon.

Nick decides it is time to find an apartment of his own after a foreign exchange student and a french maid move in to the family home for the summer.

Gene becomes the homemaker and Shannon the breadwinner when the kids convince Shannon to return to acting after she is offered a role in a new Roller Derby exploitation film.

While Shannon recovers from her roller derby accident Gene continues to handle the day-to-day household chores, and Nick entertains a friend and his "cougar" mother from out of town.

Gene takes some time off from his busy schedule to "hang around the house" and have quality time with his family, which is driving them crazy. Gene goes out to judge "beauty contest" not knowing it's really a Drag Queen talent contest.

Gene travels to Nashville as a favor to KISS' manager and takes a promising but bickering country band under his wing.

Nick's band hits a roadblock when all of their gear is stolen moments before their debut gig. Meanwhile Shannon convinces Gene to be social and attend a dinner party that unknowingly has another agenda.

While Gene is in Japan filming a monster movie Shannon and Tracy go antiquing and buy a piece of furniture that sends them on a search for its original owner.
