Furin returns from a long absence, shocking colleagues who thought him dead. Rakova makes him head of homicide, demoting Victor. Furin, critical of his colleagues, takes on a case of child murders and immediately makes better progress.

A paranoid pop star fears being murdered, but his concerns are questioned. However, when the pop star's security detail is murdered, Rakova urges Furin to take the case. After Furin takes matters into his own hands, Victor confronts him.

An old man finds a troubling note from an unknown captive. When they learn that women have been kidnapped, Furin and the younger investigators act quickly to save them. Rakova's transfer is revoked, causing Victor panic about his future.

Furin works to fulfill his promise to rescue his old team member Natashka, who was abandoned three years before while undercover with a crime lord called The Baron. Ghosts from the past raise tensions between Furin and Vitya.

Now freed, Natashka returns to work with the team to capture a serial killer who dismembers his victims. Furin's antics bring heat onto the department. He seeks psychiatric help to deal with hallucinations he has about his deceased family.

An Internal Affairs investigation brings to light the story of Furin's disappearance and his family's fate. He learns his daughter's body was never found and his hallucinations increase. Zhenya takes on a dangerous and suspicious mission.

Zhenya's suspicions of Natashka grow as he takes evidence to Internal Affairs. Internal Affairs brings in a hacker to expose Natashka's emails, while Furin attempts to find out why. Rama warns Ahmed about the police's interest in him.

After Zhenya saves Furin's life, the two hunt down the shooter and interrogate him. Evidence leads the team to suspect a terrorist attack during a big soccer game. Furin has his revenge and later reunites with a loved one.
