For the first time in America, the top bread and pastry artists join forces to compete in a two-day competition that showcases both their unique talents and combined creativity.

Get a glimpse of America's culinary future, as the nation's top teen chefs compete for a full scholarship at the 16th annual Johnson & Wales recipe contest. Competitors create either a healthy dinner or healthy dessert. One student in each category will take the top prize, worth nearly $80,000.

Considered one of the top five cook-offs in the country, Build a Better Burger draws hundreds of recipe entries. But only ten finalists are chosen to compete for the top prize of $50,000 at the cook-off in Napa Valley, California.

Twenty-five barbecue teams are invited Reno, Nevada to compete for a $16,500 purse in one of the biggest rib cook-offs in the country.

The best barbecue teams in the south gather in Memphis, Tennessee to compete for a $24,000 prize and the title of world champion. More than 200 teams come to this week-long party and pork-only contest, hoping their ribs, shoulder or whole hog will stand out above the rest.

Top Chefs from America's coastal states, including Food Network's own Paula Deen, gather in New Orleans to compete in a seafood showdown that highlights the best fish and shellfish this country has to offer.

It's a bride's fantasy and a cake decorator's dream. Dozens of decorators travel to Tulsa to compete for a cut of the $10,000 purse. Art is the name of the game at this show, only these sculptures and paintings are done with sugar and icing. It is three days packed with taste, style and beauty, making for one grand reception with a sweet reward in the end.

Beautiful homes, amusement parks, rustic barns, and ornate churches all made of America?s favorite holiday treat: gingerbread! A record 300 gingerbread creations (decorated with gum drops, wafers, and noodles!) were brought to this 12th annual championship in Asheville, North Carolina.
