Castor is the boss of the illegal gambling in Bangu, Rio de Janeiro. With dirty money and violence, he uses the football and samba institutions of the neighborhood to promote himself.

After a series of murders, the board of the illegal gambling emerges. In 1985, Castor dreams of a year of glories both on samba and football.

The big boss of the illegal gambling extends his tentacles over politics and security forces. Bangu goes to the Libertadores Cup and Mocidade becomes protagonist on the carnival scene.

An investigation on the criminal organization reveals a big corruption scheme. Castor moves away from Bangu and Mocidade.
