Having left the Netherlands for 'Vuurland' in last season's finale, Ome Willem arrives abroad only to find a very similar set to the one he left, complete with an audience full of children and a band of Geitenbreiers. August has stowed away in part of Ome Willem's luggage, but when he confronts Ome Willem, who was glad to leave Teun, Toon and August behind, Ome Willem pretends to be a foreigner called 'Boem Boem Balle Balle'.

A hedge has suddenly appeared in Ome Willem's backyard behind which a scary pirate is looking for treasure. Ome Willem decides to play a trick on August by dressing up like a pirate as well, and August retaliates by dressing up as a ghost.

Ome Willem enjoys growing vegetables in his little garden and decides to dress up as a scarecrow to scare away a bird Jan Klaassen has been teaching to fly. August finds the dead bird and buries it in Ome Willem's garden.

August ball has been stolen as has Ome Willem's chair. De Papjes Geitebreier is missing a string on his base, and De Hoofd Geitebreier has lost a couple of notes. Ome Willem and August plan to catch the culprit. First by dressing up as pirates, then by leaving out valuables to lure the thief out into the open.

Ome Willem announces that he has fallen in love with Joke. When she comes over for a visit and some cuddles, Ome Willem wants August to get lost. Preverbaly in the woods or have a sleepover somewhere. Quite understandably, August gets very upset with Ome Willem about this. Especially when it turns out Joke doesn't mind him staying at all.

August wants to play a game of soccer but Ome Willem just wants to read the paper. When their argument gets out of hand, Ome Willem pretends to have passed away in order to teach August what it will be like when he is gone.

Once a year Ome Willem cooks the most delicious Nasi Goreng there is. Or so he claims.

Ome Willem is meeting a friend at the cinema. Katrijn is off to her 'Vossen Cursus'. Jan Klaassen claims that baby-sitting is not a man's job, so it is left to August to look after little Jantje to sleep. Before he goes, Ome Willem tells August the story of the wolf & the 7 billy-goats. After he leaves, a stranger called Henk de Wolf knocks at the door.

Ome Willem has vowed to teach August how to swim. Luckily for August, Ome Willem's father arrives to dispute his son's tall tales of having been a great swimmer since childhood. Meanwhile, Katrijn insists that Jan Klaassen has a bath because he hasn't had one since before their son Jantje was born.

Jan Klaassen is selling cold, soggy fries so Ome Willem advices him to go get some in Belgium. August also wants to go to Belgium, but Ome Willem leads him on a wild goose chase through a shopping center only to end up back home again.
